St John's PTA

The Parent and Teacher Association (PTA) is a group of parents who work together to support the school. The group plan a range of events for children and families while raising money for the school.

Joining the PTA is a great way to meet new parents and get involved in school life. If you are interested in getting involved, please email pta@st-john.oxon.sch.uk

Introducing the New PTA

At the AGM our new PTA members were nominated and elected into the following roles:

PTA Chair - Leanne Anthony - I have 2 children at St John’s, my daughter is in Year 6 and my son is in Year 4. I was a committee member with the previous Home School Association and have seen how the school and the community benefits from the events organised. Having lost time due to the pandemic, I am keen for the newly formed PTA to start planning events, bring the wider community together and raise funds for the school.

PTA Vice Chair – Selina Johnson - I have one child currently in Year 3 and a son who moved to secondary school last year.  I have previously been involved in the HSA with fundraising events as a volunteer and look forward to developing my involvement in the newly formed PTA.

PTA Secretary – Charlotte Russell - I have a son in Year 4 and a daughter in Year 2. I was previously a committee member of the HSA and supported the school with fundraising events. Outside of school, I run a small pre-school ballet school in Oxfordshire.

PTA Treasurer – Laura Kyte - My sons are in Year 3 and Reception at St John’s. I joined the previous HSA in 2019 and was appointed treasurer of the new PTA this year. Outside of school I work as a tax advisor in a local accountancy practice and enjoy running. I am looking forward to working with the other committee members to provide some really enjoyable activities for the children and to raise some funds for the school along the way!

The PTA meet in the school library at 3:15pm on a Monday once a month during term time. Mrs Stainer is our School Staff Link member so please do catch any of us if you have any questions or would like to know more.
